The 6th Annual Center for Native American and Indigenous Research Symposium will be held at the Women's Club of Evanston (1702 Chicago Ave) on both Thursday May 16th and Friday May 17th 2024.
PARKING
On-Site Event Parking
A 600-space indoor parking garage is located directly across the street from the Clubhouse entrance. The address is 1715 Chicago, located in the Evanston Place apartment building. The garage entrance is at 525 Church Street (NE corner of Church and Chicago Avenues). The approximate parking fee for a 5-6 hour period is $6.00. The City of Evanston maintains a surface parking lot adjacent to the Clubhouse and behind the Evanston Public Library. This metered lot is open to the public. Metered street parking is also available. Download the “Park Evanston” app or use the pay stations for the library lot or street parking.
Northwestern University Parking
Parking is available 1/2 mile away in the Segal Visitor Center Parking Garage with a provided parking pass (provided by CNAIR) or by paying $8 for the day. While it is a short 15-minute walk from the symposium, the Segal Visitor Center is also home to our wiigwaasi- jiimaan (birchbark canoe) and is located on the shore of Lake Michigan.

The Center for Native American and Indigenous Research (CNAIR) is located at 515 Clark in Evanston, IL, just 5 minutes walking from the symposium activities. CNAIR is located between the Women's Club of Evanston (symposium location) and the Segal Visitors Center (located near the lakefront).
