Jasmine Gurneau

Jasmine Gurneau earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from DePaul University and a Master of Arts in Learning Sciences from Northwestern University. Previously, Jasmine worked on community based research projects focused on developing learning environments with parents, teachers and communities that are culturally based and built from their intellectual and cultural strengths. She has years of experience in community engagement, education research and facilitating partnerships between reservation and urban-based Native American communities. She has a commitment to building community capacity, improving educational experiences and empowering the voices of Indigenous students. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, singing with Redline Singers (southern plains style pow-wow Drum), watching funny compilation videos on YouTube and spending time with her family.
